The EU stands ready to sanction Syria!

European countries called the Syrian ambassador to coordinate for President Basha Assad to stop the attack against its people.

Government of the United States (U.S.) also asked the UN human rights body to allow an independent investigation and charges if the violation of international human rights law is found.

On Wednesday, France, Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain, said the ambassador of Syria that they condemn the violence that occurred in Syria and said that Assad must change his tactics.

The German government said they would support the sanctions to be awarded the European Union against Syria.

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said the sanctions could be given in the form of an arms embargo, freezing assets and banning wealth.

"If nothing changes by the leaders of Syria, the international community will impose sanctions against Syria," said Westerwelle.

As reported by the Associated Press, Thursday (28/04/2011), senior officials of the UN Human Rights had asked Assad to withdraw his troops.
