Surrender Almost Stoner at Estoril

Repsol Honda rider Casey Stoner claimed nearly resigned from the MotoGP Portugal because of a back injury that happened during the race.

Despite feeling pain in the back, Stoner still survive and still be able to finish third. Even so, the rider from Australia was failing to compete with the Honda teammate, Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo Yamaha rider in the race for first position.

"When we have to think that everything is going to end because we set up motor racing as usual, I actually felt pain in his back," Stoner said as quoted by Autosport.

Stoner claims are still lucky enough to continue the race until the finish. "At mid-race I find it difficult to move. I even thought to enter the pit," said Stoner.

Stoner decided to continue to survive and hope the drivers in front of him to make mistakes. However, reality says another, and Stoner had to be content because they still remain entitled to the podium.

Former Ducati rider was also expressed his disappointment on the Gresini Honda rider, Marco Simoncelli, who interfere with the early pace in race to create distance between himself and Lorenzo and Pedrosa.
