Juventus legend, Dino Zoff, said Alessandro Del Piero believes the decision to extend his contract with "The Old Lady" will give positive impact for the club.
Thursday (05/05/2011) morning local time, Del Piero signed a contract extension that keeps him in Turin until June 2012. Although now aged 36 years, Del Piero is one of the important players for Juve.
"Del Piero worth keeping. I'm not too surprised by the decision. He is a smart player and always knows how to govern themselves. I never heard a negative comment out of her," said Zoff told Radio Sportiva.
"I do not know what he would do in the future. However, I think he could become a director at Juventus," he continued.
Zoff also gave his opinion about the uncertainty of the future of goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is speculated to leave strengthen Roma or Manchester City.
"If Buffon is fit, he's still the best goalkeeper in the world. Having a goalkeeper as good as he is a blessing and Juve have to defend it," said Zoff.
Problem coach Luigi del Neri, Zoff believes, "Del Neri's future depends on the results achieved by the end Juve this season. If you can bring Juventus to the Champions League, he will not get into trouble."
Juventus is currently ranked 7th with 56 numbers or collecting four points adrift of Lazio who is ranked fourth.
